Bridesmaid and Groomsmen Colors

Briana, on August 2, 2020 at 10:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hi everyone! So my bridesmaids dresses are going to be Wine colored from Davids Bridal(more like a deep burgundy). My fiance wants to do black tux jackets, black vests and a deep grey/gunmetal grey bowtie/ties. The girls will be wearing nude/beige shoes and we are having our wedding 10/31/21 in NY. Our ceremony is only going to be a half hour and pictures probably 1 hour max. I was thinking of getting the girls shawls but don't really think it will be necessary. Only one of my bridesmaids from florida mentioned a shawl and the rest don't really care. If I decide to go with a shawl/pashmina, what colors could I do so that it doesn't clash with the groomsmen!?

You could do the same grey that the groomsmen are wearing for their ties! That color would pair well with the burgundy.

Yea I agree I think the Grey would be a good color. It will look good with the dresses and it will pull the look of the groomsmen and bridesmaids together.

It shouldn't be that cold that anyone needs them. But a dark grey would be pretty and versatile with other colors for future use.

October in New York ( if it’s anything like Chicago) is freezing. Especially to someone who lives in Florida where at that time is 80+ degrees. I would consider getting the shawls to make them a little comfortable.

I’m in Northeast Pennsylvania, and I’m often in a heavy-ish coat by that point. We sometimes get our first snow in October. You just never know!

Gray would be great! I think a beige similar to that of the shoes could work, too. Blush could also work, but I would stick to a neutral for sure.

I would go with the grey to match the groomsmen
