Bridesmaid and Groomsman Proposals?

When they popped the balloon, it exploded with silver and gold confetti and had a note asking them to be my bridesmaid! It was a cute and fun experience.

I recommend asking them first and then send them a little gift after they say yes if you really want to send them something. Otherwise, these "proposal" boxes can put undue pressure on them to say yes or make them feel awkward if they're not sure.

No, for the reasons earias stated above. The only exception was my MOH because she's my sister and I knew she would say yes. I can't remember what exactly I put in it, but for sure there was nail polish in our wedding colors. If you are thinking of doing this, I would go with earias' suggestion and send something after they say yes. Something small that they like - chocolate, lotion, candles, soap, favorite beverage, nail polish, etc. I would stay away from cutesy stuff that isn't practical - personalized anything, infinity/i do jewelry.

3 of my 4 bridesmaids are out of state, so I couldn't ask them in person realistically, which I would've preferred, so I mailed them each a small box. I made a mini photo album with 5-8 pictures of us with a note about how much they mean to me at the end asking for them to be a bridesmaid. Also included mini balloons to be more fun and festive, but nothing too crazy. They all seemed to really like it and have the photo albums to keep!

Yes I did! But only because the 5 girls I have in my bridal party are my 3 closest friends who are basically sisters to me and my two sister in laws. So there was no pressure and they all were super excited when I got engaged and knew they’d be my bridal party. I did a Bottle of Wine with a label from Etsy, a wine glass with their name. A cute hand written card and a framed photo of the two of us.

I think they're fun and make the experience so meaningful. But yes just make sure your bridal party doesn’t have people who are not sure if they’d like to take on the responsibility of being a bridesmaid, otherwise I can see how it can be a pressure filled situation.

Yes, I did do proposal boxes. I had already previously asked my girls so I knew what the answer was ahead of time. What I didnt anticipate was that one bridesmaid just up and decided that 6 months after she said she would be a bridesmaid another friend is getting married and she told me she would rather be in her wedding instead. Then another bridesmaids' boss will not allow her time off. I wish they would have sent the boxes back though. P.S. in my boxes were compact mirrors, a set of 3 make up bags, a personalized water bottle, scarf, and a throw.

I did! I made mine personal though. My brother and I are extremely close and he is actually my man of honor and I got him shoes with a cheesy note about standing next to me. My Bridesmaids were still personable like wine with a personalized label and candy and something personalized and a cute cliche note and everyone got a shot glass with bridesmaid on it. They all loved it

I did a proposal for my bridal party. In a white gift box, I included a "will you be my bridesmaid/made of honor" card, a bath and body spray mist, mini wine bottle. and a swell beverage bottle.
