Our sons will be 8 and 5 when our wedding comes (September 20,2020). What plans did you set for your children- before wedding, during wedding & reception?

Hmmm I slumped on this to. I have two children a one yo and a 5yo. For childcare I'm depending on my parents and in laws. For activities my 1yo I can't really make plans for but for my 5yo daughter I plan to bring her a backpack full of stuff. Two toys, her iPad and coloring book and maybe some play doh. Wish I had advice for an 8yo but I haven't gone through that age yet.

Thank you Cynthia. That’s a good idea. I have a few children who will be at the wedding I was contemplating making a kids table with a few activities: coloring pages and crayons and so on

I was also thinking about it to. But I was recently at a wedding where they had a kids table but then they had balloons there to. Sure enough the (younger) kids did not touch the table and instead played with the balloons majority of the time. They also danced and ran around. I think it depends on what the age group is. I would do a kids table for kids over 5 or maybe where those kids are seated (obviously next to their parents) have like what the restaurants do a little activity paper and some crayons.
