Brides w/ sensitive stomachs

Jennifer, on September 14, 2020 at 4:38 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
Hey ladies!! Does anyone have any advice for a bride w a sensitive tummy? I may have to stray from the menu on my big day, as literally anything can give me diarrhea with little to no notice. I’m thinking about just keeping a few saltines and a hot ginger ale on hand in place of dinner. Wedding venue food has acted notoriously violent inside of me before (steak Diane) and I just don’t wanna risk it in all white as u can imagine. Any tips are appreciated!

Have a bottle of pepto ready or see if they can make you something you can eat.

Oh no ! is there anything they can do for your specifically? for instance if plainer foods work better for you, can they just make yours without sauce or garnishes, etc. ?

Talk to your venue and they should be able to make you something a bit more plain.

I have an awful stomach too, so I can relate. Definitely get a bland meal and carry some meds. Then try not to worry too much about it so you don't work your stomach into knots with nerves. I also think it's fine to eat beforehand and then not eat at dinner time with everyone else--it will give you more time to say hi to everyone anyway

I usually get nervous stomach during big events, so I would recommend taking some meds before your meal to be on the safe side. Also make sure to have ginger ale or like a Sprite with your meal to help.

I’d ask them to make you some plain noodles or a grilled cheese, something that will be easy to eat and on the more bland side.
