I had my hen's over the weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN! After postponing once, then crazy, rising cases due to omicron, until I had a negative RAT test in my hand the morning of the event I honestly didn't think the day would ever come!
All the guests wore my favourite colour, pink, and it was so sweet seeing how they'd interpreted that in their own ways, and my sister and sisters in law tried so hard to make it a special day which was so personalised and meaningful to me, bless them!
This is me and my sweet sister - they organised the personalised sash and the flower crown, as well as personalised biscuits and all sorts of things!
I know it sounds silly but I feel really refreshed and cheered, like maybe our actual wedding day will happen too!
It's been hard since I planned the whole thing alone. However, at my last fitting I put on a veil and hair jewelry and now I'm excited again. Good luck with your big day. We're almost there.

So exciting that your wedding is so close!! Do you have anything left on your wedding to-do list? Or just waiting it out until the big day is here?

AWESOME!! Glad to hear you had a fun party weekend! Also, it doesn't sound silly at all to feel refreshed after the party - I think the pre-wedding events make the wedding feel more real, especially after having to postpone. I love that everyone wore your favorite color, and it sounds like your sister and sisters in law came up with some truly beautiful ways to celebrate you! Great picture, and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!

Due to postponing back in 2020, I’ve had troubles with finding a venue. I literally feel like I can’t plan anything else until that’s done 😩. We are settling down with the idea to either do a park wedding or do a courthouse ceremony (something I’ve been avoiding for specific reasons) and plan a BIG reception. I’ve got my Aunt helping me with finding information on both ideas. No one tells you that even if you’re doing the least expensive route, it’s definitely NOT inexpensive. 🤦🏻♀️😩

Totally agree that weddings are crazy expensive, even the "cheap" options! It's insane. I wish I had known that info before my fiance and I started planning. Keep searching, I'm sure you'll find a beautiful venue! Have you checked non-traditional venues (aquarium, planetarium, museum, community center, historical library, etc)? Those would likely have better availability, are potentially cheaper, and you'd certainly get some unique and beautiful wedding photos! Sorry to hear that you had to postpone! My fiance and I also postponed from 2020 to 2022 due to the pandemic, so I understand how frustrating it is.

I HAVE recently heard about the non-traditional and my FH is a huge history buff so a museum idea was on my back burner of ideas. Yes, the postponing from 2020 to 2022 is frustrating 😑. Hope your planning goes well!!
