Here's my ring, right in front of where we got engaged.

I get to marry my best friend on May 1st, 2021. A year ago, I would’ve laughed at anyone who would’ve said I would be engage this year. I had just left a toxic relationship, and I was healing. I found my inner peace, and my FH found me. I cannot wait to be his wife, and I’m beyond excited for the next chapter of our life!

Best day of my life.

We went to Wisconsin to surprise one of my friends. While we were there him and her planned a proposal! A surprise for my friend quickly turned into the greatest surprise for me ever! He proposed at a beautiful park that had the most beautiful botanic garden! The funniest thing about the trip was we stopped at taco bell for a quick food trip since we got hungry during our drive. One of the hot sauce packets we got was "Marry me" I then mentioned it to him saying it's a sign little did I know it was already going to be happening.

March 6th, 2019 we were snowboarding Killington in Vermont, my favorite mountain, when he stopped mid trail and asked me to marry him! We just set the date for our destination wedding in St. Thomas for April 3rd, 2021 and I can not wait to marry my high school sweetheart 💕💍

He proposed August 30, 2019 before going on our Labor Day weekend family trip 😍

I said yes on August 11, 2019 just before our 4 year anniversary. 🥰 We were out of town in Pennsylvania for a work trip, so we had a whole week to ourselves to celebrate before telling anyone. I'm so excited to marry the love of my life in September of 2021.💕

Engagement Story: September 13, 2018

Niles and I went to an evening dinner while on vacation in Newport Beach, CA. My favorite type of food is Italian, so that is where we went. The restaurant was called Mama D’s and the restaurant is known for their professionalism, customer service, and amazing food. Niles got the chicken Marsala and I got the chicken parmesan. The food was AMAZING & by far the best experience at a restaurant we have ever had. After dinner we decided to go on a walk. Niles said he was pretty full and wanted to walk it off. While on our walk we had some good talks, laughs, and took some pictures. Since we had already been on 36th Street I told him we should walk down to the 36th lifeguard tower. For those of you who do not know. 36th Street is where I grew up vacationing since I was 3 years old. We would go down to 3507 Seashore Drive in Newport Beach every summer. I have many memories in that house and many memories by lifeguard tower #36. Anyways, so Niles and I decided to head over to that particular lifeguard tower. As we got to the board walk I could start to hear the ocean and his voice starting to sound nervous. Once our toes hit the sand he held my hand and gripped it tighter. I did not know until We were 15 feet away from the tower that this was the time I was going to get engaged to my best friend, lover, and soulmate. I then saw the rose petals on the sand leading up to the tower. I got quiet and Niles said “I think you know what is about to happen”. I looked at him with a huge smile on my face. I started looking around and saw rose pedals and candles lit on the front and side of the tower. There was also champagne glasses, red roses and a ring box. I kissed Niles, he took both of my hands and before he got down on one knee I had already been nodding my head yes. He then got down on one knee and as he started getting tears in his eyes, he said “Carly Rose, you mean the absolutely world to me and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Carly, will you marry me”. Of course I said yes! He then slipped the most gorgeous ring on my finger, stood up, and kissed my lips. Afterwards my mom came down from hiding behind the tower, took pictures of us and we popped the champagne. Cheers to being newly engaged and many exciting times to come.

My fiancé proposed to me in the mountains in Tennessee where we take a family vacation every year and he knew it was my dream place for him to get down on one knee. We are planning on getting married in October 2021. 💗💍
