Bride's entrance music for a short walk

Claudia, on March 3, 2015 at 1:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So I understand that everything is better with music, and I love music. But how do/did you all work with short walks? I don't like that awkward fade in or fade out, and obviously standing at the altar for the whole song isn't any better.

On the flip side, I think we have large enough bridal parties (7 per side) that we could all walk in during the same song.

I'm not too picky. What do you all think?

I'm just doing one song. It's easier and then you get to enjoy more of th song

Find a shorter song. If you are okay with old love songs you have a better chance of finding one that is approx 2-3 minutes. I will be walking to a piano version of Can't help falling in love with you. The song will start and be going roughly 30 seconds while everyone stands and the doors open. Then I will be doing my slow walk to FH with my mother and father, which will be approx 45 seconds. Than my parents will give me away which will be another 30 seconds by the time they both kiss me and be seated. Then FH and I will get in our place and as the song finishes up the officiant will begin.

We are all walking in to the same song. The last part of the song is all instrumental, which is where I will come in

I just picked one song. I find it weird to just pick a short portion, I had a friend start her entrace music just at the crescendo of Pachebel, and it was weird honestly

Have you considered instrumentals versus lyrics? That might work better since you can transition or end the song a little easier. I walked down to instrumentals from A Storybook Love from the Princess Bride.

I am doing instrumentals as opposed to the actual song with lyrics to avoid the awkwardness.
