Brides and watches?

Lauralou, on November 22, 2017 at 11:13 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I'm like 2 days out and have stressed about so much I am now worrying about random details. Do brides/grooms wear watches? My Fh will be wearing one and I wear one every day to work but I never thought about it in accordance with my bridal attire. Are you wearing watches?

I don't wear one because I have a cellphone; but....neither H or I had our phones with us for our wedding day. I tried to find a 'bridal' watch; but wasn't able to find anything that I felt looked good with my dress. I really wish I had one or at least had a clock somewhere for the reception. That kinda drove me nuts/not knowing the time.

Nope. Just make sure someone is keeping you relatively on schedule. I guess it depends on your level of formality though.

FH and I both wear our Apple watches every day but I don't have any bands that would make it look good with my dress. FH is wearing his though.

My FH always wears one, but I don't. I assume it will be the same for our wedding day. Our DOC will keep an eye on the time for us, but knowing FH, he'll keep an eye on it as well.

I wish I wore a watch, but I'm also glad I didn't because I think I would have been stressing out. I was glad enough people had the time line and kept us on track.

I didn't wear a watch but H wore a pocket watch, so I could always ask him the time.

I honesty was thinking of getting a watch but I am going to have to rely on my BP and close family to tell me the time because I will have no watch and no where to place my phone.

My FH loves watches, like he has a whole box full, he will not be wearing one for the ceremony but he will put on on at the reception. Apparently its a faux pas (his words not mine) to wear a watch with a tux (?) Supposedly if you are wearing a tux then there is no more important place you have to be, I dont get what that has to do with a watch but that was his reasoning lol.

I have a few watches but I hardly ever wear them. Anytime I wear any jewelry on my wrists I fidget with it until I end up taking it off.

I could see a small bracelet style watch being ok with a wedding dress, if it complimented other jewelry you have on.
