Bridemaids dresses!!

I would probably have them dress shop when your friend gets back in August, that should still be plenty of time depending on where you get them from. Articles I've seen recommend 4-6 months out. My wedding is in 3 1/2 months and we just ordered bridesmaid dresses last week from David's Bridal and they'll only take a month to come in

We went to David's Bridal and everyone got theirs in less than 2 months! They also have stores all over the US, so your BM could go to the shop closest to her and order it!

For bridesmaids dresses you want to wait until you're less than 6 months away. Bridesmaids dresses don't take nearly as long to come in as wedding gowns. Plus, if you go too early there's more of a possibility the bridesmaids could change sizes (weight gain or loss due to illness, injury or pregnancy) and it's expensive for bridesmaids to get major alterations. So I'd plan to go in August when your friend gets back and have everyone order that day

I agree with PPs, wait until August.

August will be fine u less there is some sort of an long ordering timeframe. The dresses we got took two months to arrive and be made.

I would say start looking 8 months before to get an idea of what you want. We did two trips, one in April and one just last week. We made a decision last week (David’s Bridal) and I was told the date we would receive them by is March 2! Super close to my date lol. They let us know that it is likely that’s they will come earlier, but I’m very much a person who likes to get things done. You definitely don’t want to wait until August and find out you won’t get the dresses in time.

When I purchased my wedding dress they told me it takes 4 months for the bridesmaids dresses to come in so I think it just depends on how long they will take. My wedding is October 2020 and we plan on going in February because they also may need to have alterations.
