Bride vs bridesmaids hair

Hellos everyone! My wedding is still a bit far out but my ladies and I have been looking at hair styles. I am really leaning towards having my hair down, I just like the look of it. I basically want to let the girls pick what they want to do with there hair, but my question is, if my hair is down, should there's also be down? Does it matter at all? Are there any "rules" with things like this? I just have NO idea. You all seem to know what your talking about and give great advice! What are your thoughts?

Nope, doesn't matter, I don't think!

I wore most of my hair down, front pinned back. My girls did their hair however they were comfortable. Looking back, they all wore it down.. but I would never have required it. Let each of them have their personality shine through.

Me, for example, I wouldn't want my hair up with a strapless dress. Im just weird like that. I would hate to be forced into it.

You said they all picked strapless dresses, so are they all different? I would let them do what they want, especially if they have all different kids of dresses.

I don't think there are any rules, and my bridesmaids will be choosing their own hairstyles. I think they want updos due to the style of their dress. That's probably the thing that will affect the hairstyle decision the most.

They are all similar but still different. Same colour and fabric, and all the sweet heat (I think that's what you call it). All slightly different at the top and where the sit. I wanted to let them wear what they wanted and they ended up each picking something similar!

I told my girls I don't care how they do their hair. I personally don't think that it makes a difference if one is up and some are down.... some people get upset when their bridesmaids choose "bridal" hair.... but not one can outdo the bride
