Bride Entrance to Ceremony

Shannon, on November 7, 2024 at 5:44 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 4

So we are having the ceremony at a covered bridge and there are no doors or drapes to conceal myself walking up to the bridge prior to me walking down the aisle and I am struggling coming up with ideas on how to do this or if I even should.

The walk from where I would be getting ready to now is a little long.

Ive included a picture of the bridge. Also a picture from where the fitting rooms are located to the bridge. There is a side walk to the right hand side.

Beautiful ceremony location! Do you have a wedding party? If so, while you are all walking over to the ceremony, two of your wedding party members (maybe ushers if you have them?) could hold up some draping or something in front of you to conceal you from view during the walk, and then you could step out from behind the draping when it's your turn to walk down the aisle? Alternatively, you could put stationary draping at the entrance of the bridge, and that way, as long as all your guests are seated before you start your walk to the bridge, no one would see you walking towards the bridge until you step around the draping and into the aisle.

Can you get an electric golf cart or other small cart so you are not directly visible even though the people can see that cart?

You could rent a beautiful car to drive you down the lane. It would prevent people seeing you, as well as you having to walk all that way in your wedding dress. The car could also serve as a great picture prop for you and your husband after the ceremony.

I suggested a small electric cart since it seems like she will come from somewhere close that might not allow a car -- maybe only having a walkway. We can only work with information the bride is sharing. I sort of guess she will be entering from the end furthest from the camera and that the bridge is actually over the water. Looks like a nice countryside place too.
