Bride doing hair and makeup separately?

My mom, my aunt, and myself are getting our hair and makeup done professionally at a salon close to the venue. The Bridesmaids are doing their own hair and makeup. Is it weird that I’m not with the BMs for getting ready hair/makeup time? We will all basically meet at a certain time with hair/makeup done for getting ready type of photos.

Additionally, if the bride isn’t around, I’m not sure if bridesmaids should meet with each other, or each do their own thing separately for hair/makeup. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My FMIL and one bridesmaid are the only ones that opted to have their makeup done by my MUA & they currently have rules in place in regards to extra people being in the room due to social distancing etc. so my other 4 bridesmaids will be elsewhere doing their hair & makeup.
I just told everyone to meet me at the bridal suite for pictures by 4pm. I think as long as you establish a time & meeting place with everyone, you're good. I wouldn't worry too much about asking all of them to get ready together unless they're all familiar with each other & would enjoy that.

I think it's fine. I am getting ready with mine, but I'm getting into my dress privately, with my mum, so that they get to see it all together! My bridesmaids will be chilling and socialising together while this is happening, and I think this will be nice for them. If your bridesmaids know each other they'll be getting into a celebratory mood together, and if they don't know each other, it will be an opportunity for them to socialise before they're busy.

If you guys are getting a photographer, you can have them do a first look when the bride meets with the bridesmaids and everyone! Could be a cute & fun photo opp

At my first wedding, everyone wanted to do their own hair and makeup so we just all met up after that happened and got dressed together.

I’m getting my hair done at a salon nearby and will meet them. So far they don’t want to get their hair done at a place but if they want they can come with me.

Is there a reason you don’t want them to meet up before you get there?

I think it's fine if you're not together. If they didn't want to join you, or you just wanted that time with your Mom and your Aunt, that's totally fine. My sister-in-had had a stylist come to the hotel her and her bridesmaids stayed at and the stylist did all her bridesmaid hair, but she went to a salon to get hers done by herself. I think it's absolutely fine if you do your own thing!! I'd say leave it up to them if they want to get together or not. I think it's fun to get ready with friends, but that's their call.
