I've been thinking about this more as the day draws nearer....is this really that big of a deal? I've read lots of advice on 'how to not cry' etc., isn't a certain amount of it expected? And everyone there knows and loves you so maybe us brides don't have to worry too much? Of course I don't want to...

And everyone there knows and loves you so maybe us brides don't have to worry too much? Of course I don't want to be uncontrollably balling during the ceremony, not able to hear the officiant or see the Groom lol, but I'm wanting advice. Did you do anything special or just have kleenex on hand and know that everyone expects some tears? Thanks!

Makeup, not emotional wellbeing, is definitely the concern.
I never cry -- unless it's a dog story -- but since I'll have my first pro makeup job, all bets are off on what's going to happen.
Luckily, my dress has pockets for a hankie.

I know I'm going to cry for sure, someone on here told me to have an actual handkerchief instead of Kleenex so the Kleenex doesn't shed or ball up or anything which I think is a great idea.

I cried way too much during the ceremony and definitely ruined my eye makeup lol. I guess I just hoped it was indestructible. I tried to touch it up quick before we started taking bride and groom photos but we were pressed for time. I wish I brought a handkerchief down the aisle lol.
