Bride charging guests to attend

Mrs. G, on August 27, 2018 at 12:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 30
Hi everyone! If you want to have a laugh then I suggest you to read this article! Its’s about a bride charging her guests $1,500 to attend. Of course no one in their right mind would pay so she had to cancel it. Lol! I was cracking up the whole time 😂

I read this and had my jaw dropped the whole time. I am hoping this is fake - you would think no one could be this entitled.

I just saw this myself on Facebook! 😂 It started off so innocently, but by the end my eyes were saucers. It's hard to imagine that's a real person!

I saw this and was just... kind of sad for the groom. Like the part where she trashes his idea kind of breaks my heart.

Also, I didn't click your link but I saw on Twitter that it was posted on a wedding shaming group. That those exists is also really bothersome because it seems senseless to go around bashing something rather than... Just choosing not to take part respectfully.

    Holy moly.

If you read the article on the Daily Mail it has screenshots from the original post.

Lmaooo my sister (MOH) showed this to me last night at dinner! I was like a paragraph in and she goes “oh man, I should’ve recorded your reaction” because I was legit yelling and freaking out over the post😂
I hope people don’t start using that story as a “well, at least I didn’t do what that girl did and try to charge people $1500 to come to my wedding!” excuse to justify poor wedding etiquette lol.

Oh no! Apparently there are actual screenshots of what the bride posted. So it’s out for the public to see but I understand where you’re coming from!

Oh my! I Hope this was a wakeup call for the groom and he's looking for someone a little less full of themselves

Yeah I read the screenshots yesterday and I'm honestly not surprised, we see people trying to justify all those things on ww just on a smaller scale. I've seen people trying to charge their guests, having fundraisers, gofundme accounts, askig them to pay for their own dinner, essentially just expecting other people to pay for their wedding because they feel they deserve it and their guests don't mind. It's exactly the same just with a much bigger dollar amount attached to it

I don't find this shocking. People think they can do anything they want when it's their day.

Ho w did they get to be 5 days away from their 60K wedding with only $15k? ... How did no one see these red flags? MOH, groom, parents, or friends when she sent out the invitation? Obviously it wasn't about the groom. I am just hoping this is fake, but if you read the daily mail article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-6101095/Canadian-Susan-cancels-extravagant-60-000-wedding-guests-refused-fork-1-500.html?ito=social-facebook sadly it is not...
