Bride and Groom Transportation

We did not see each other before the ceremony, and we had one limo. It picked up H and the men first, dropped them off at the chapel, swung back to my parents' house to pick up me, my mom, and the BMs, dropped us off at the chapel, and then waited until we were done with pictures to bring the entire BP to the reception venue. We had it for 3.5 hours. All of our locations were within a 15 minute drive of each other.

Honestly if this were me, I would just drive there in separate cars and not rent anything. Since everything is in one place, I feel like that's a lot of money to spend on something you really won't use, especially if you're on a tight budget.

When I got married, my husband and I were separate until the first look. I got my hair/makeup done with my bridesmaids and then we all just carpooled to the venue. I got dressed at the venue so I didn't have to worry about fitting my dress in a car. I don't look back with regret about not getting a limo or any other kind of special transportation, especially because it was so expensive and most companies required a minimum rental time.

H drove my car to the ceremony space, I rode with MIL (she was with me when I got ready). Then H and I rode together to the reception venue.

ETA, we had no bridal party and the parents drove themselves.

I will add that we probably wouldn't have gotten a limo if our ceremony/reception were at the same place. We probably would have just driven ourselves.
