Hey Cassie!! Oh my goodness, these are so cute!! I love that you are going to make them yourself too!! Are you DIYing anything else for your wedding? You must be a really crafty person!!

You should definitely buy paint specifically for use on glass, otherwise it would chip off when washing or not actually stick to the glass in the first place. You could check out any local craft stores to get this but you can also get it on Amazon. I would also perhaps do a couple of test runs with cheap glasses so you have it perfected when you are doing the real ones for your wedding!

I would love if you post a picture of the final product once you have them completed! I love this idea so much!

These are really cute. I wonder if paint markers would work on these. In the past ive had difficulty using paintbrushes on glass.

Thanks Sinead! I plan on going to the craft store to get the supplies this week!!! I’ll definitely post pictures once I am done! I’m excited since it will be nice to pull them out for anniversaries! I am not a big crafty person but planning for the wedding has definitely put me in the mood! Smiley smile

If you want to keep them after the wedding, assuming you do, paint for glass is the ideal. Or acrylic with a clear cover for glass. Krylon is really nice, they usually sell them in any craft store and it is a clear spray varnish. That is what I did last year on Christmas when I made homemade Limoncello and painted the bottles myself. The bottles are still going strong! As for glue you can just use E6000, it is an industrial strength glue used in bonding items you do NOT want to separate. I would allow up to 24-48 hours between each coat, and letting the glue cure.

Hot glue gun, with a piece of lace, one bow, one stone and glass painting kit would be required. There are several tutorials are available at Youtube that will guide you further. I also found the following glasses very exciting. You can also use cloth instead of paint.
