Good day all, will you be exchanging gifts of your wedding day? If so, what are you planning to give your groom?

My husband and I exchanged gifts on our wedding day! He got concert tickets for us to a band we both had wanted to see, and I got him a few little things, with themes of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and something for our wedding day adventure. Something old was the framed ticket stub from the sporting event we went to on our first date, something new was an engraved wallet filled with gift cards for date nights out, something borrowed was a rose lapel pin (as something I "borrowed" from The Bachelor), something blue was a blue Christmas ornament with a wedding theme, and something for our wedding day was a couple tequila shots for us to do during our first look.

We skipped gifts. When I brought up the fact some couples exchange gifts, my husband looked at me confused and said “isn’t the wedding and honeymoon already our gifts to each other?” And he had a point lol. We wrote our own vows, so we didn’t do a letter beforehand either.

No. In our circles, the only gifts exchanged are vows and rings

We exchanged letters and small gifts. Our gifts did not exceed $15. I’m glad we did!

We paid for our wedding ourselves, so we were focused on that going well.

Bird, I like the idea of setting a spending limit and letters are to die for. Thank you for sharing!

Michelle, that's how it's always been done in my circle, too. William's circle is quite different than mine though. I suppose a compromise is necessary. Thank you for sharing.

I gave my husband a Tag Heuer Monaco watch because it is his favorite watch that was stolen from our home. It meant so much to him I asked him not to give me anything. He give so much already.

I know this is starting to become a popular thing, but we have decided to skip gifts. We are having a destination wedding, and we really didn’t want to have to worry about packing yet more stuff! LOL
We decided our rings would be our gifts to one another, so we went all out and spared no expense for them.

We exchange gifts but we waited until after the wedding and once we gotten to our hotel room alone. So I gave him a cherry wood engraved flask with shot glasses and me a tennis bracelet with charms of my life. I loved it that they it made it more personal that's how he proposed that way too. It was a great rainy November night him me 12 dozen of red Rose's and champagne

We did both letters and gifts as customary in our circles (no first look). But, we actually don't gift each other for birthdays and Xmas or do surprises. We're not sentimental either, so we just went shopping together for accessories. As he had his wedding look set, I got him a reversible Ferragamo belt with interchangeable buckles for date nights. I say, don't make it hard on yourself.
