Bride and Bridal party walking to the same song?

Courtney , on September 25, 2019 at 11:17 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 17
So I am walking to the song “You are the Reason” -Calum Scott (duet version) and it’s 3 minutes long. I was wanting to have all of my bridesmaids walk to the same song as me. Is it dumb to do that or should they have their own song?

Usually they have their own song but it's ok if you want them to walk to the same one

That's not dumb! It's totally fine for you all to share the same song

Melle has it right. Usually the bride walks to her own song, but you can do whatever you're comfortable with! Just make sure to let the officiant or DOC know so the guests know that you're coming even if the song hasn't changed and can stand for you.

Your wedding, your choice! That is what we did. We had the whole wedding party on one song, granted the song was 8 minutes but still...….

Definitely not dumb. I am totally not well versed in the ceremony portion of the wedding. When I met with my officiant he asked me what my ceremony song was going to be.... and I told him. So he asked what the other members of the wedding party were going to walk to... I was like... the same.. thing..? LMAO I didn't think I even needed a special song for myself? But I don't know, I may think about it.

Omg i love this song!! i'm also considering this song to walk to. I will be doing different songs for my bridal party to walk to. I want it to be different to feel special for me, but its totally not dumb if you walk to the same one!

It's fine to have them use the same song. The real question is just how many of them there are and how long the aisle is, i.e., will the one song be long enough to get you all down the aisle?

My wedding party and I are all walking to the same song, "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin. It's traditional to have the bride walk to something different. But I'm doing things a little differently. Do what makes you happy!

My bridal party and I walked to the same song. It was about 4 minutes long and there was a place in the song that was perfect for me to make my entrance.

The wedding party and I all walked down to the same song. The processional takes like 2 minutes and it seemed dumb to me to play different songs for each group. And everyone kept asking me if I was sure I didn't want a separate song for myself!

My whole party is walking to the Prelude from the Final Fantasy series. It's a short aisle and my party isn't all that big, and the whole point is it builds and builds to a grand finish, AKA when I walk down the aisle. It wouldn't be the same effect if we chopped it up and played something else for me.

Its not dumb at all! If that's what you want to do then go for it! My aunt did that at her wedding. I was one of her bridesmaids and we all walked into The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. It worked out really well for when she walked down the aisle.
