So heres my question. We rented out an all inclusive venue and with that comes the grooms parlor and the bridal suite. So heres my question. We rented out an all inclusive venue and with that comes the grooms parlor and the bridal suite. I was told by the venue to come with our hair and makeup done already before we come to the venue . I thought that would be where I and my maid of honor get ready for the day? That way my photographer is with us as we get ready , am I wrong to think this was the place to do this !?!? He said we are allowed 2 hours so we are on schedule . I didnt think I would have to get ready in our hotel and drive to the venue just to put the dresses on. SO my question is, what are we supposed to do in this "room".?

A place I was considering had bridal suites, but then the woman said you all have to arrive here ready and 45min before the ceremony is to start. My planner saw my face and was just like "well she will be in from out of town and just wanted to be at the venue already to get settled in and take pictures....could she do that?" The woman said if it was only me, then yes--they usually don't have anyone use the suites before the wedding though. NO idea why all of that was up there if you can't use it beforehand...This is in NYC where traffic can be crazy. She said it was where the bridal party could go after the ceremony during cocktail hour for a break or something. I felt like that timeline was a little nutty and went on to find my venue. I would just get details and go from there.

I am getting married in a museum and they have a “bridal” suite but it’s mucj smaller than normal. I have 3 girls in my party and there’s enough room for us and a photographer to fit, but not comfortably get ready in there. We are getting ready at the hotel, then going to the wedding venue and using their bridal suite for touch ups and such. It’s just too tight for us all to get ready.

Maybe thats the same for you?

Both our photographer and videographer will be coming to our hotel first for getting ready pictures/video and then heading over to the venue. The hotel will be no more than 10-15 minutes away from the venue but this that travel time is included in my time with them. Our venue doesn't have a bridal suite at all so we'll most likely have to hide out in the reception room while guests arrive, so it's definitely nice that you at least have that!
