Bridal Suite Snacks

Ingrid, on August 22, 2021 at 10:32 PM Posted in Planning 1 18

Less than a week out and interested in knowing what you had or are planning to have in your suite while getting ready. I know I don't want bread or rice. Please share your ideas or actual items.

Stock up at Costco for yogurt, granola bars, bottled water, coffee, etc

We are likely going to have food delivered from a local restaurant along with bottled water and coffee with creamers

Yes, thinking of heading to Costco for a couple of things. . .thinking Cheese platter things, but skipping the salami as it's too greasy for pretty white dresses!

    Thank you for your suggestion

You can use toothpicks and napkins with everything to avoid the grease transfer.

We’re not doing breads either (the girls, that is)! For food, we plan to have fruit, veggie & cheese trays, mixed nuts, and assorted quiches. For beverages, we’ll have water, coffee, OJ & champagne.

An idea would be to add ginger ale, fruit, and cookies! If anyone has low blood sugar or need a ginger ale to settle their tummies, they may be handy ❤️

This is a good idea, I didn't take into account upset tummies.

Our venue provided the food in our bridal suite, but while we were getting ready at the hotel my MOH ordered a couple of pizza pies.

For getting ready at the hotel we have ordered both breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We will also have coffee and a variety of tea.

My advice is to err on the side of extra options. I read on here people thinking similar things (no bread, no bloat), so I had little omelet cups and fruit while we were doing hair and make up but we were all starving again by the time we were getting dressed. Even though *i* didn’t want bread, no one else felt the same. We had goldfish crackers at the house that we devoured, but retrospectively I would’ve done a proper charcuterie plate with meats, cheese, crackers and more fruits, or another platter with sandwiches and wraps. Getting ready was basically through breakfast and lunch. I thought a “brunch” would kind of cover it, but I wish I had provided enough food for 2 actual meals

We ordered several trays from Publix -- ham and turkey wraps, fruit salad, cheese and veggie trays.

For getting ready in the morning I plan on having a fruit platter, yogurt parfait spread, bagels, mini quiches, and a variety of drinks. For the lunch, planning on having mini hoagies, a charcuterie board, fruit/veggie platters, snack size chips, no one will be in their dresses yet so I'm not super worried about staining.

I’m going to order breakfast from a restaurant and bring it in. The bridesmaids will set up a mimosa bar and we will have breakfast items, fruits, yogurt, water and electrolytes

We had food delivered from a local brunch spot... mini sandwiches, fruit bowls, smoothies, yogurt, other easy finger foods, and coffee!

I second this, get more food than you think you'll need because I have been HUNGRY as a member of bridal parties before!

We had cookies (from Costco), a cheese platter and an antipasto platter (from Publix) for both getting ready rooms, plus crackers, water, soda, and wine. Essentially, the ladies and I munched the afternoon away (don't know what H and the guys did lol) while we were getting make up done.

I'm not allowed to have outside food or drink due to COVID, so we'll be ordering stuff from the restaurant at the resort to our bridal room.
