Bridal suite food

Lauren, on May 5, 2018 at 11:20 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
I’d like to provide food for the bridal party while we are getting ready but am looking for suggestions. The girls will starting coming around 8-9 and we’ll leave for the church at 1:30. Would breakfast be enough or more snacks for lunch? Anyone with suggestions on good options?

I would do more snack foods that way it's not so heavy on everyone's belly's before the ceremony. Plus then they will still have room for dinner and cakes during the reception.

Do light foods/snacks. Maybe some croissants, fruit platter, cracker and cheese.

My bridal suite had fruit, cheese and croissants in the morning at 9 along with coffee, tea, water and mimosas. Then around 11:30 they served us sandwiches and wraps. I recommend doing something similar because it will be a long time before you and the bridal party eat again and you don't want to go the day without eating or drink on an empty stomach.

Do this. Light snacks won't cut it. Think of the videos you've seen where a member of the wedding party faints because they haven't eaten.

I would do full breakfast (bagel sandwiches maybe), then something like a meat and cheese platter to snack on before the ceremony. Something filling that will hold everyone over till cocktail hour.

Don't just do light snack foods! They will be there at 8 or 9 AM, through lunch, and then dinner probably isn't until at least 5??? I'd be miserable without an actual lunch. It doesn't have to be huge, but make sure its more than just fruit and cheese

I think breakfast would be enough! You could do a fruit plate, then bagels & cream cheese too? Panera does breakfast catering, I'd look into that. I'm using them for lunch, but we will be getting ready from 11-4.
