Bridal Shower

I did that for a few guests. But I waited until about a week from the date. It depends on your relationship. If it's someone you talk to often, it would be no big deal to get a text from you. I'd say, "Hey there! You coming to my shower??" Haha. For others it was more subtle. "Hi friend! I saw your kid this morning. She's so freaking cute. Are you going to make it to the shower?" For the guests that FH knows better, I nudged him to start a conversation with them and hint toward the shower. He was able to confirm a few answers, both yes and no. For people that I don't have an ongoing text or call relationship, I didn't reach out. I just took their lack of response as a no which was correct.

I agree with Candace. And I also have a few friends that never respond so I would probably say like “hey! My MOH needs a head count for food and such. Do you think you’ll make it to the shower?” I think some people don’t realize that their one respond might not matter, but when multiple people think that then it does.

View Quoted Comment Exactly! My friend didn't rsvp to the rehearsal dinner and the other day I texted her a polite reminder. She texted back immediately and said it completely slipped her mind. She said don't ever be afraid to hound me for stuff like that! Haha
