Bridal shower???

Hi everyone, So my maid of honor is my sister. Originally she told me she was planning my bridal shower as well as hosting it. She asked for a few inspiration type photos of things I might like. However she just told me that she’s happy to host the bridal shower but that I will need to help with the behind the scenes planning because she will be in her internship and won’t have time to put it all together. I’m not really sure how to respond to that. Do I absolutely need to have one? Does it matter if I help her plan it?

Things do happen unexpectedly and we have to coast through. See if the bridesmaids can help with the planning and everything or ask your sister what she can commit to entirely. One thing you don’t want is added stress on either ends

If you have some friends that can help that would be nice. I personally helped with mine because I didn't mind it.you also don't need to have one if you don't want one.

Bridal showers are completely optional! If you're comfortable helping your sister, I don't see an issue with it since she asked!

You don’t have to have one if you don’t really care for it. Our main reason of wanting one, is to be able to celebrate with everyone in a less formal setting. I’m also helping my FH sister plan it.

We’re also calling it a “wedding shower” or I’ve seen it called “shower the couple” that way it’s not strictly for girls but for everyone.

I wouldn’t see why it would matter if you helped her out! I personally didn’t want a bridal shower I wanted a joint shower BUT I don’t get a say so 😕
