Bridal Shower

You should not be planning your own bridal shower. A bridal shower is a party that someone throws for you (mom, sister, aunts, grandma, BMs), to "shower" you with gifts (presumably from your registry). It's considered bad etiquette to throw yourself a shower. You can certainly give your hostess a list of guests you want invited, and even give your input on the theme, color scheme, food, location, etc. But let someone else be the host.

This is something your mother and bridal party should do for you. If they know you well and love you, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Just send them ideas of what you want and ask them to go off that. I sent my planners my vision and they’re doing it. When they ask me questions I just remind them that I’ve sent them my ideas and I trust them to make it fun and beautiful. They wanted to throw it, and I’m not interested in adding more stress. Planning the wedding is enough. Any who I don’t think you’re supposed to be involved any way.

My best friend & my mom are the primary bridal shower planners with the assistance of the other bridesmaids ready to assist where needed.

I was asked by my bridesmaids to create and share an inspiration board on Pinterest and I showed my MOH the dress I want to wear for it. MOH also asked for 3 date options that would work well.
