Bridal Shower vs. Tea

What's the difference between a bridal shower and a bridal tea? I know one you get to open your gifts and the other you don't.

I have heard about bridesmaid luncheon teas....

Kinda a get together where the bride or MOH hosts the party as a thank you to the Women in the wedding party (and Aunts and such can be invited too)

You give gifts to the women for standing up. So, not necessarily gifts being given to you like in a bridal shower. Many give the gifts during the rehearsal dinner, so I guess pick when you would like to give the gifts.

I took my girls out for a mani-pedi and then took them out to lunch.

I am having A Bridal Shower Tea Party..... For mines my theme is basically beautiful flowers and sun dresses. The menu will consists of sandwiches, pies, cakes, tropical teas, spiked tea's, and this one is actually for all guests (old and young) with the same things that showers do..... 4-8 pm. Then from 10:00-1:00 we'll have the Bachelorette Party, where its mostly younger chicks and drinks with finger foods and perhaps a man in small clothing flying around the room, Who knows, but we'll have kinky games and fun prizes.... Cant wait....
