Bridal shower time frame?

Ingrid, on October 19, 2016 at 5:57 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

I'm getting married on November 19th, when is the appropriate time to have my bridal shower? My mom thinks 2 weeks before the wedding, but I think that's too late. Any advice?

It really depends how many people are local vs out of state and who you want there. One of my bridal showers the one my bridesmaids are throwing for me is for all my friends. However, a lot of people live out of state so they decided it was best to have it at the end of February so if people who wanted to go wouldn't have to travel twice in a short period of time.

Usually 1-3 months prior to the wedding. I know my friends are planning a shower for me sometime in February.

I'm getting a married a week before you and we had mines the weekend of the 8th of October, about a month before. I agree it depends on who had to come from out of town as well as if anyone has to travel for the wedding. I'm having a DW so we did want to have peoplr soending money right before they would have to spend more to travel for our wedding.

We did my sisters about 2 months in advance of her wedding so there was time btwn the shower and bachelorette. 2 weeks may be a little close but like @kaylas said i think it depends on how many out of towners there are

Usually about 2-4 ish months prior to the wedding .. IMO I preferred it a little on the early side because there's just a lot going on in the final months

I feel like that's late. Especially if you have oot guests. They'll have to travel in twice in a month which is a lot. Usually 3 months before the wedding is average time to have a bridal shower.
