Bridal Shower Thank you Card, what to write??

Anonymous, on May 2, 2011 at 8:46 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

So I just had my bridal shower yesterday and it was great. I was just wondering. Do I have to list each gift? My step mom got me so much stuff, am I supposed to say "thank you for the organizer, pet hair remover, roasting pan, shoe organizer, shoe rack, cook book, farberware set, and duvet cover set." I feel like Im just listing the "things" that I am thankful for when really, I am thankful that they thought that much of me to go buy all this stuff and they made the drive for the shower. What is proper to write?

    Dear (Insert name)

Thank you for coming to my bridal shower. Having you there meant so much to me. Thank you for all the amazing things. ____ was a very considerate gift. Your generosity (or kindness) is truly appreciated. _____ was a perfect gift, I can't wait to _______. Thank you for helping my day be so special. (It was wonderful to see you there.) Thanks again."

Sincerely, (or Warm Regards, Love, Best)

    _______

    * suggestion is for all cards - wonderful to see you there in ( ) because usually parents are at your showers. I would just point out some big things and use use the term all "Thank you for all the amazing things: _____ , _____ , and ______ ."

Google Write Thank you card and it will give you samples and key words. I love cheating.

I personalized each one on how useful their gifts are and will be in the future. Also thanked them for taking their time to be there for me.
