Bridal shower suggestions

Teresa, on December 6, 2020 at 2:03 AM Posted in California Planning 0 12
Ok girls, I need advice. My wedding is May 2021. The girl's are already planning my bridal shower but with covid cases increasing in L.A. County and stay at home orders and only 10 and under can gather it seems I'm at a loss for a Bridal Shower. It's suppose to be in January but by the looks of it it may not happen. What are some suggestions? Or do you think I should push it back to March 2021?

I would recommend pushing it back to February. Most CA regulations for only single household gatherings expires Jan.4th. Our cases will remain high between now and Jan. 10th due to the holidays, then I think we will go back to red and orange levels then.

I think you should push it back a bit, yes, but also keep in mind "drive through" showers, Zoom showers, or having one at a park, socially distanced.

I know these aren't quite traditional, but they may be the safest option.

I would push it back a bit. Unfortunately, even in March if might not be possible. I'm currently pregnant with my first child and my shower is planned for March, but I realize there is sadly a very real possibility that it might not happen or at least not how I would have envisioned. I shared my story so you know you're definitely not alone. Covid has changed so many things.

Hi Theresa, you are being so strong about it and thinking this through very well - I commend you ❤️ You are wise to consider pushing out the shower. If it helps, we pushed my shower to the weekend before my wedding to give optimal time. I live in PA. White tents were my best friend during this time!! My shower was 25 people and I honestly LOVED it! We limited it to two hours and we wore masks. I did take photos with my mom without my mask on. I know it is tough, but I’m confident your shower will be beautiful whatever you decide!! ❤️

Maybe a zoom virtual bridal shower? Everyone sends their gifts by a certain date so you have them to open?

To be safe I would probably push it back until March. If things don't change by March, which I think they will, then you could have them set up a virtual shower

I would agree with others about pushing it back to be safe. That's also very early for a bridal shower. They are usually 1-3 months prior to the wedding.

I would push it to March. The vaccine is going to be a game changer!

As others have mentioned, it’s better to push it back to March or April as cases are high now and vaccines have yet to go out. Since the wedding is in May, January is still early for a bridal shower as they’re usually held 1-2 month prior to the wedding. Plus, pushing it back will allow more time it plan.
