Bridal Shower No-Nos or Must Haves

One bridal shower no no is to plan your own shower. One thing I would like to have at my shower (when it is hosted for me, my mom has already offered for when the time comes) is a mimosa bar ;-)

Mimosas or any other kind of light alcoholic options are a must for me for these types of events - as long as it is a mostly drinking crowd, I find it helps ease the potential awkwardness of gathering people from different parts of your life.

I won't even throw a baby shower without some sort of cutesy boozy option for this very reason!

Mimosas are a must for me. And, keep the cheesy games to a minimum. Also, no one wants to go to a 4 hour bridal shower, so keep it short and sweet!

When I helped my mom host my sisters bridal shower a few years ago we had an ice cream sundae bar 4 or 5 different kinds of ice creams and then a bunch of toppings since we knew she liked ice cream more than cakes.

My sister has been asking me now what I might like at mine and like others the mimosa bar was a suggesting I had and she also asked to borrow my gilmore girls cook book since she knows I love that show so I have a feeling some GG inspired things might be happening lol
