Bridal Shower Name Alternative - Looking for creativity

I threw a shower for a friend. Her family is Mormon, so we didn't have alcohol. I called our drinks fauxmosas because we made them with sparkling cider instead of champagne. That's not an alliteration like Monograms and Mimosas, though.

Can't you just call it a bridal shower and say bring a gift with the new couple's monogram? Or something like that? I hate telling people what gifts to bring though so that wouldn't be ideal for me.

I don't think it has to have a cutesy name.. you could just say "monogram shower"

@Katherine - Same here. We both really dislike requesting a certain gift, but the "Monogram & Mimosas" theme has been treading for a little while now, so (I'm not going to say it's appropriate) but it's more commonly accepted.

So I feel like instead of requesting a certain present, just labeling the party something (like M&M) and if people pick up on it, great - if not, it isn't a big deal.

I figure Monograms & Macaroons is a parody version. However, we don't like Macaroons. So I think it's silly naming it something that we don't even like.

Monograms & "Mock"mosas... It's just juice& gingerale or sparkling grape juice. Fancy feel, no booze.

@MrsMcPherson Oh, I agree. And it is in line with other themed showers like stock the bar, or around the clock.

I'm trying to think of another word for monogram. The thesaurus was no help. Initials is the only other thing I can think of, but I can't think of any cute foods that start with an i lol.

It's a shower. Leave it at that.
