Bridal Shower Gifts for a Non-surprise Shower

If you know about your bridal shower (not a surprise) are you not supposed to look at the registry and who bought what? Are you supposed to act surprised? Zola keeps notifying me when people buy things & who bought it unless they've chosen to hide their name.

I knew I was having a shower but didn't know when so I turned off notifications for our registry so I wouldn't be notified with anything was purchased. We didn't use Zola though. I personally wouldn't look to see what is purchased as I liked being surprised.

Looking at your registry is a good idea regardless of the type of shower because some items may be sold out or discontinued and the stores need you to update them to new items.
