Bridal show tips and suggestions 🙂

Cassi, on December 20, 2021 at 3:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hey everybody! So I am beginning to start cracking down on finalizing some of my wedding details. I have purchased tickets to attend a bridal show/event in my area. The one I’m doing to is called bridalrama. I’m not sure what to expect so anyone who has attended one or planning to, feel free to drop some advice on what to expect or look for.

So far from my research and suggestions, I have heard it’s best to come with pre-printed labels with your address and contact info already filled out to save time and effort with filling out papers😁
I’m so excited to really start getting down to business even though I’m overwhelmed because I know time has and will continue to creep up on me QUICKLY! 😱
I look forward to all of your suggestions, ideas and input❤️

Establish a "wedding" e-mail address - you will get spammed to high heaven after going to one of these things! Pre-printed labels aren't necessary unless you're planning to give your information to every vendor you speak to, and most of the vendors I spoke with wanted e-mail and phone, but not address. Look at all the booths, but you don't need to talk to people whose style doesn't match yours (for example, if you don't like the work a photographer has out - not that they don't have wonderful work - but you don't like it, you don't need to talk to them). When I went (granted it's been a lot of years ago) they had a lot of food samples, but I don't know if that will still be the case.

I definitely agree with the wedding email! It’s helped me a ton to organize all of my emails!
There should be a website for the show you can go to and see what vendors will be there. Beforehand skim through that list and check out those vendors’ websites and their work. If you really like it, mark down their name so you know you want to visit them! I’ll be honest I was very overwhelmed when I first walked in because they just started handing me bags and flyers, but once I got into it I had a lot of fun!

I printed address labels (and included my email address, cell phone number, and wedding date) after going to my first show in April (I’ve been to 4 more since then). Many vendors offer discounts and/or giveaways, so I picked up info from all of them to review later with my fiancé (as I went with friends and bridesmaids). Due to COVID, many vendors offered prepackaged samples (catering, bakery, etc) and, as many used QR codes for information/giveaways, I’d highly recommend having a fully charged phone or extra battery on hand.

Great insight! Thank you so much! I will keep that in mind because with having a destination wedding there are some vendors I won’t be interested in however I still love the idea of being there to still see everything 🙂❤️

Ok I was wondering how overwhelmed I’d be but seeing as I’m excited I’m not like “worried”. Thank you! I never thought of an email for wedding stuff but after attending this I might need one so I’ll be proactive 🙂 thank you!

Great great advice! I’m so grateful 😊 did you or will you be using any of the vendor services for you bridal shower? Or bachelorette party? I am
Having a destination wedding so some I won’t necessarily need with my wedding venue having everything already included and also just not needing them.

My best advice is to have a game plan before you get there. If you're not looking for pretty much everything it can be easy to get lost in all of the vendor stuff. Write a list of what you know you need and are searching for before you go. If they have a list of vendors somewhere you can always write down those specific names that you're looking for. That way you can make a point to stop at those places before you leave and it helps you divide your time up while you're there.

Oh, and HAVE FUN lol. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with how many things there are to do, but it's a great time to just enjoy that you're engaged and planning a wedding with a ton of other people who are just as excited as you are.
