Bridal Shoes

Cali, on October 22, 2020 at 12:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
Hey guys 👋🏼

I was wondering what sort of shoes you planned on wearing for your big day?
I’m having an outdoor ceremony (if weather permits) and it would be in the grass so I’m not sure if heels would be the best idea, but I think I might also feel “too relaxed” in some sort of tennis shoe. What are your thoughts and what did you do? I’m interested to see what worked for others!

I wore flats! They’re pink cause it’s in my wedding color. I am really bad in heels

I'm planning on wearing simple nude block heels! They're very comfortable and if I have to walk on grass, I don't risk sinking like I would in pumps.

I agree if you are going to be outside and in grass, heels may not be the greatest option (Heels sinking and losing a shoe is a real struggle in soft ground!). If tennis shoes feel to informal for you, maybe you could do a wedge or a flat. I’ve also seen girls here who have gotten Bridal tennis shoes that were super cute! They were white and all blinged out

Oh those are cute! Flats would be a good in-between option! Thank you!

Block heels are a good idea! I feel confident in wedges or thick heels, I’ve never been good in pumps. But I agree those definitely shouldn’t sink into the grass!

I’ll have to look into some white/bling tennis shoes because that sounds like a good idea too! But yes, that’s exactly my fear is that a heel would sink into the soft ground. Super interested in the bridal tennis shoes too!

I had a formal wedding, but I wore white converses. I'm clusty so I didn't want to worry about falling. I also didn't want sore feet. I wore a ballgown so you couldn't even see my shoes.

    These are mine:

I bought them Last Act from Macy's for $30. My FI wants me to wear flats, but I wanted some heel to slim my legs a bit.

Keds has a bunch of cool designs! I had wanted blue shoes, but it didn't work out for Mary Janes. Kate Spade x Keds has some blingy ones, and they also have a really cute blue and white flower pattern.

I'm wearing custom Converse for my wedding, and my FH is wearing a pair of Converse too! We were going to do that for Prom, but my shoes ended up being the wrong color haha! Plus I cannot for the life of me walk in heels so I might as well be comfortable! They probably won't even show under my dress so if you are worried about them being too casual maybe make sure they are covered by your outfit!

I wore sparkly sandals which I bought on Amazon. I was planning on wearing heels but my feet would have been throbbing from all the walking.

I'm currently planning on Rothys, probably the pointed flat in gray. I have a pair of their loafers that I wear all the time, & I would much rather buy something I'll wear again.

My other idea is a pair of Oxford-style T-strap heels--I have a pair in black that I have worn to every wedding I've been to, including once as a bridesmaid.

I bought these the other day. I think they’ll be comfortable, but still gives me height cause I’m short. I’m wearing a champagne dress so it matches well.Bridal Shoes 2

I wore super fancy white high heels but our reception was in a ballroom. I would recommend wearing wedges or sandals if you'll be on the grass

I plan on wearing sparkly sandals for the ceremony (as the photographer will probably take pics with the rings with them) & some sparkly tennis shoes for the reception since there’s gonna be a lot of walking & dancing.

Sparkly ballet flats, meant for dancing. We danced on cobblestones and grass, while patio doors were open, no catching, no slipping and rubbing blisters and we danced til 3 am. Bridal Shoes 4
