Bridal shoes

Hope I’m not posting twice as I lost service. Does it matter if I wear open toe or not in October, being it’s a southern CA wedding? I guess I’m thinking it’s not very fall but does it matter. I like open toe for comfort.

Also, I think I’m stressing too much on how plain my shoes are and whether the color matches my only bridesmaid. Does it matter? Will anyone even see our shoes? She may be in nude and I’ll likely be in champagne or ivory. I think part of me wants a pretty, delicate shoe but they are expensive and I’ll never wear again. I feel like only the photographer will see them doing pre photos and that’s it.

My dress is Ivory and beige. , would ivory or champagne or nude be best for me? My sister’s dress is romantic blue from reverly. I was thinking nude or champagne for her.

Southern CA is still pretty warm in October. Open toe shoes are perfectly acceptable at that time. Unless the dresses are short, no one will notice any shoes or care what they look like. If they do see them, it will only register for a millisecond of what their attention goes to someone else.

Go for comfort first. Whatever you wear for the reception is what the dress needs to be hemmed to accommodate. If you change into flats for example, and you have the dress altered for heels, then you will trip on the dress when you change out of them.
Let your bridesmaids wear whatever they already own unless they have an occasion in the future to rewear a specific color. Many women don’t wear champagne/nude shoes and a wedding would be one time wear like the dress. Whereas they may have gold/silver/black in their closet.

Open toes acceptable all year round go for it and don’t be afraid to splurge on a shoe that you really love. But of course I’m biased because I’m a shoe freak. 😂. I will say that I am wearing tennis shoes for this one traditional dance that I have to do but other than that I’m wearing heels that are closed toe

Thanks! Yah I was going real plain then saw my friends lovely, delicate looking shoes and they are so pretty. I go back and forth! Closed toe is smart with dancing!

I bought flat light blue suede shoes for the ceremony and white glitter sneakers for the reception, if your dress is long, no one will see or care what your shoes look like. My sister bought a pair that she wore for a few pics, and in her detail shots, and then switched to sandals for the rest of the day.

You can wear literally any kind of shoe you want. I always recommend avoiding shoes that are marketed as "wedding" shoes because retailers know people spend extra on wedding things and jack up the prices. I knew one bride who wore red shoes, I have a friend who wore converse, and I'm planning to wear teal shoes. If you're wearing a long dress then nobody will see your shoes, so pick something you like and will be comfortable in.
