Bridal Separates--where?

Aimee, on May 4, 2018 at 3:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

My fiancé and I were married in a civil ceremony (for legal reasons) a few months back, however are still planning on the church wedding in the fall to celebrate with family and friends. I bought a white lace dress (see picture) for the civil ceremony and would love to incorporate that into my church ceremony dress as well since it's meaningful, thinking a skirt over it?

However I am having the hardest time finding a skirt under $800. I know wedding dresses aren't cheap, but also considering I'm already technically married I cannot justify spending over a $1K on a dress. I was hoping for something max $500. (Side note, I did try the China route via JJ's house but they sent the wrong size and color and are unwilling to pay for shipping for me to return it. Shipping back to China = what I paid for it in the first place.) Has anyone done something similar and have an idea where I can find a nice, but relatively cheap bridal skirt to wear with my dress? I guess I should also mention I really want something with a train, which is also proving difficult.

Have you visited any department stores? Many commercial stores have started carrying small wedding wear lines. It may be worth inquiring someplace like Macy's or Nordstrom.

There are numerous sellers on Etsy who sell tulle skirts with a train.

I would go to a local seamstress. There couldn't be anything easier to make.

I would check on etsy or on Amazon. You can get long tulle skirts with trains way cheaper than $800.
Here is one that is less than $50.

Azazie has a couple of separates. I think they're in the bridesmaid section not the bridal section. But they still come in white.
