Bridal Registry & Free Gifts

Hi Everyone! Okay so today is currently April 17, 2023 and I wanted to give a more recent review for those who are receiving phone calls, voicemails, or text messages from Bridal Registry about being the winner of free gifts. I am also giving my opinion and experience because most answers don’t give people the answer they are looking for.

So I currently live in Maryland and on Sunday, April 16, 2023 I went to a bridal expo event where I scanned many QR codes and filled out many forms so I took paperwork or business cards to help me remember everything. Now on Sunday night I received a phone call from this number 631-464-2846 registered in Amityville, New York under the name Linda Bender. I usually don’t answer unknown numbers but I took the chance. She told me that she was from the Bridal Registry and that I was selected for three free gifts from their company and that all I had to do was attend a presentation with my fiancé to collect my awards. Of course it sounded awesome but also too good to be true.
Like most of you, I searched the number, read the posts about people’s experiences on BBB and wedding wire, and searched up the company to find their website which they did include photos of pots and pan sets, China, and more kitchen stuff. They also list testimonies, the prizes, and FAQS. So I was mixed about the situation but my fiancé and I thought what the heck. We go to the hotel where they tell us to meet them and there is the guy from the bridal expo, Rick. I should mention that after going home and looking through all that I received from the bridal expo that Bridal Registry was there. I remember Rick sitting at the table alone and after you scanned the QR code and registered, he gave you a small red and white polka dot tote bag with a mini spatula in it and the bag had the company’s name on it .
Well, when we walk in there were two other couples. Rick took our names down on a paper and had all this kitchen and cutlery stuff lined up. He asks you to send a word to a phone number to receive your first gift which is a coupon for JVL jewelry for free wedding bands. They are titanium and tungsten his and hers matching wedding bands that come with customized engraving of 30 or 35 letters. They are nice but they don’t have a huge selection. I was told that once you put the rings in the cart to add the coupon provided to you and all you will have to pay for is the $25 shipping and handling fee.
The second gift is given to you by scanning another QR code and it’ll send a text message to a number for a company call SpecializeIt. You will then receive a $200 gift card for anything on the website such as a wedding photo on an acrylic board or custom champagne glasses. The shipping you pay for which is $24.95 I believe.
The third gift is one of two trips. The first is a 3 day and 2 night trip to any of the hotels in the US that are on the list. The hotel I believe is paid for but travel, food, entertainment, all that other stuff you have to pay for but you can travel to any major city and it’s hotels like IGH, Hilton, holiday inn. It’s for two adults.
The other trip is based on 5 Viva Wyndham locations , two in Mexico, two in the Dominican Republic, and one in the Bahamas. This trip is also 3 days and 2 nights but it’s all inclusive so your hotel, food, drinks, and activities are paid for. But you pay for your airfare or boat or whatever transportation. You also have to pay $39 per night you stay so $78 for two nights and a refundable $100 deposit. All other things like tickets for carnivals or amusement parks and rentals cars you also have to pay for.
For both trips, you must first register your coupon on Odenzareg.com. Then you sign up with your information and pay the required money and then a travel agent will get back to you so you can book the details.
The hardest part is that you receive the coupon for the rings and custom glasses when you first get there but you have to sit through a 90ish minute presentation on the cookware and cutlery from the representative. We did not buy any of it and still walked away with all of our gifts. However, you do get a bridal discount on the cookware and they can only sell it in sets. Prices ranged from $1500-$7000. They also have a demonstration of chicken and veggies in the pots which was good to taste but that’s about it. If you purchase anything, you get both the all inclusive and non all inclusive trips.
Thanks! I’ll update when I use all of my rewards.
