That is a really good reason to wear your dress again and you get to have some very beautiful photos of just you, too! What a really great idea! If I may ask when did you get them done relative to your wedding date? Do you know the "normal" time frame in which a bride would get them done?

View Quoted Comment I got them done 2 months out. Basically the first weekend my photographer had available after my final fitting & my dress was ready. As far as I know it's average time, after engagements but before the wedding.

You may be right about that being a southern thing. I'm from California, and I've never heard of it. I asked some of my people (all of us from CA), and none of them had ever heard of it either. It's not something that's included in my photography package either. I'll have to ask my photographer if she's ever heard of it. Maybe not, as she is also born and raised in CA!

I first heard of bridal portraits here on WW!! I like the idea though.
