It all depends on how you feel. I know some people don’t and some people do. I paid for all of my bridesmaid’s dresses.

Some do and some don’t. Every time I have been in a wedding I have paid for my own bridesmaid dress, it’s just important to be mindful of other’s budgets. I am not paying for my Bridesmaid’s dresses as I have 11 haha, but I will be getting all of them gifts and purchusing their jewelry for the day of. I’m having my bridesmaids get their dresses from Azazie which is really affordable!

My bridesmaids paid for their own. My FH and I are paying for our wedding by ourselves and with having 5 in our wedding party it was just too much for us to pay for that as well. But our wedding party had no problem with that. They were just really happy to get to be in the wedding party and share our big day with them. Smiley smile

The bridesmaids typically pay for their dresses. Unless the bride is pretty well off, she does sometimes. You just have to be mindful of their budgets and they're preferences if they're paying. I've known of brides to make their brides spend $300+ on a very particular dress. I told my bridesmaids I just want one certain color, but the style is entirely up to them.

When someone agrees to be a bridesmaid, they generally understand that they are responsible for paying for the dress. That being said, the bride should always consult their girls individually to determine an appropriate budget. If the bride wants a specific dress out of that budget, she should at least pay the difference. I didn't want my bridesmaids spending more than $100 (even though they told me they could), so when they found a dress they all wanted, I covered the overage for them. Didn't want anyone to shell out a bunch of cash for our wedding!

Only if you want to. I've seen some who do pay for it but I didn't because I let mine choose whatever they wanted

No, I've never heard of that. The bride just has to consult the BM budget's before picking a dress.

The bride only pays for them if she wants to and has the budget to (this is more rare than common). Most bridesmaids know going into it that they are expected to purchase their dress.

My bridesmaids paid for their own dresses. They were $150.
