I recently removed my MOH from my bridal party because of stressful reasons.

My best friend who has supported me and helped me through the stressful moments is my bridesmaid. Would it be a bad thing to ask her to be my MOH. The only reason I did not ask her to be is because she was going to get married. She just got married 3 weeks ago. I did mention to her that I did not ask her to be my MOH because it would have been crazy for her to plan her wedding and help me plan mine.

I'd rather just remain a bridesmaid than be a runner up maid of honor. Kind of defeats the whole honor.

I'd just skip having a MOH if it were me. Maybe ask her to give the speech? Typically bridal party has little involvement with planning. That's more on the bride and groom.

No I wouldn't do so. Itll only make it sound like she is a fill in, no matter how politely you'll ask.
