Hi ladies. We are getting married on November 30th. What are your thoughts on short bridesmaid dresses for that time of year? The venue is at a barn, undecided if it will be indoor or outdoor.

What is the weather like in your area during November? If it's still fairly warm, then I think it'd be okay. However, if it's normally chilly then I'd probably go with longer dresses.

I guess it depends on the weather in your area, but in most places, late November is too cold for short dresses.

Hello! I'm getting married on November 22nd this year Smiley smile

I have my girls in long dresses because it'll either be really chilly out in Pennsylvania, or just brisk. My wedding is all indoors, but some photos will be outside, and I just personally felt floor length dresses would fit the venue and time of year the best.

Maybe ask your bridesmaids? I know some of them weren't thrilled about floor length, just because they'll likely need to hem their dresses. But they are appreciative it'll be warmer for them, and I'm likely going to buy them blanket scarves or faux fur stoles for the outdoor pictures to keep them cozy.

    Good luck!

I personally prefer short for some reason.i think it's because my preference in style leans to short but if it's cold I would definitely go with long

I prefer long regardless but if it's warm enough I think it's fine! I'm assuming you'll have heat in the barn if it's cold enough.

Ehhh. I'd say no but depends where you live. Seasonally shorts are not for November where I live in PA, but idk what it's like in CA or somewhere like TX down south.

Some of Virginia is warm then, but mountains are breezy. Look up temps for your wedding zip code area, for that date. In general, I have found floor length dresses to be a PITA walking on linger grass, fallen leaves and such on the ground, and hay, in barn or farm style weddings. And above the knee are awkward if out of the dining area there are benches or picnic table type rough seating. Tough to perch modestly. Tea length, 2-5 inches below the knee is practical. I have had to cut off the lower skirt of floor length ( 2" above floor or ground) skirts or dresses after just one outdoor party, due to stains from grass and dirt on the lower 3-6 inches. So considering weather and how many people might like to wear their clothes again?

November 30 in VA? Is it really going to be warm enough for an outdoor wedding?
