Our wedding is on oct 3 of 2020 when you suggest picking out/finalizing the groomsmen tuxes and the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses?

My bridesmaids and I went dress shopping for their dresses in November and we got married in July. My groomsmen got measured for their tuxes in January. My mother-in-law insisted on making my flower girls' dresses. We did stuff early because we wanted to get it out of the way. There are a lot of checklists online that will recommend when you should get things by.

I would aim to get those decided on 4-5 months beforehand!

Honestly, do as much now as you can or print a timeline for wedding planning off the internet. I feel like some people wait too long and then feel “crazy” because of it.

Once we picked the men’s suits / tux - it actually helped us narrow down the shade or type of color we wanted for the bridesmaid. Example: we had a darker suit picked out from generation tux but once we compared the swatch to all of the colors we considered for bridesmaid - seeing them together shaped the whole shade of wedding color

I'm getting married 10/9/20, and I'm in the process of choosing all of the wedding party's attire.

4-5 months for the guys, and frankly like 2 months for the flower girls. Those little kids grow SO MUCH in such a short period of time.

For the children I would hold off as long as you can just in case they have a growth spurt. I am getting married in May 2020 and I am going to wait until Jan 2020 to get their dresses.

I found that picking out the groomsmen tuxs prior to the bridesmaids helped me with colors as well. My FH & I picked all the guy's tuxs about a year out...but I just wanted it checked off my list. I'm hoping to do bridesmaid shopping prior to Thanksgiving. Ik it's early, but I want to buy nice quality jewelry as bridesmaid gifts on Black Friday.

I’m getting married the exact same day! I have 7 bridesmaids. We went shopping already for them. They all picked out their dresses, and are paying for them as they can. 2 girls have ordered them and the rest are waiting until they have the money for them. I told them they needed to be ordered no later than March.

I agree on waiting as long as possible for kiddos in case they grow. As for your other attendants, I would have their outfits picked out 5-6 months ahead, so they can have 3-4 months to get the outfit and 2-3 months to get it tailored.

We are getting married in November and I had everything picked out in January. So 11 months out.
