Bridal Party

Leah, on October 27, 2019 at 4:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Has anyone wished they would have had a smaller bridal party? My FH wants a big group but I'm worried about not being able to see everyone in pictures and things. I'm thinking that pictures with the individual or just me and the girls/him with the guys, ect. will do the trick though.

How big of a group are we talking?

Regardless, I wouldn't be too concerned about pictures. Smiley smile I can't speak from personal experience since ours will be on the smaller side, but there are plenty of brides on here who had large wedding parties, and they looked great in photos.

I'd be thinking more about other logistics. The more people you have, generally, the pricier it will be (more gifts, flowers, spots at the rehearsal dinner, possible transportation needs, etc.), and you'll have to do more coordination.

If you have that many important people in your life that you want to honor with standing up by you, that's wonderful! Smiley heart

How big of a party would you be having? we had 10 total, 5 on each side and it was fine. the more people you have in the party, the more people to have to get control of. your photographer is a professional and of you choose to have a large party, they'll fit you all in the photos.

Yes aha. A part of me in hindsight wished I didn't have one at all. Don't get me wrong I love my friends and we are still such good friends but looking back I think I would have been less stressed without a wedding party

We had 10 on each side! LOVED IT!! We debated for quite some time about how many people to include. We obviously chose to be more inclusive & it was one of my favorite decisions. It gave us so much more time to spend with all of our close friends. We got married on 10.19.19, so we are still waiting to see most of our pictures, but the ones we got back are amazing!!

For more up close photos, some people in our bridal party were cut out of the photos, but it was important for us to include all of these wonderful people in our special day!

We had a large bridal party - 7 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 2 junior groomsmen, 2 flower girls and a ring bearer. I'll be honest and say I was a little nervous about photos (specifically coordinating everyone) but the day of I was SO happy that I had my closest friends and family around me I didn't feel stressed at all about having such a big group at all. I actually can't imagine not having all of those people around me.

We didn't do a first look so before the ceremony we did pictures of just the guys together and just the girls together. The group pictures were done during cocktail hour and they actually went pretty quick and we were able to go to cocktail hour for 20 mins.

That's what I want to do for pictures! Before the ceremony- just the girls and just the boys. Then all of us together after!

May I ask what you did for gifts for your bridal party?
