BRIDAL PARTY WALKING TOGETHER OR NO

Kelly, on November 7, 2017 at 5:38 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

Did y'alls bridal party walk down the aisle together? The past few weddings I've been to the groomsmen are already standing beside the groom and the bridesmaids walk alone coming in and then they walk out together.

I don't think it matters. Mine are walking in pairs, but I honestly don't think anyone would care/notice if the groomsmen came out first. My cousin did that at her wedding, and it was totally fine

I've never been to a wedding where the brides party and the grooms party walked into the ceremony together. The grooms attendants have always been waiting at the front.

I have seen every possible scenario. If there are steps or anything else that may cause a BM in heels/long dress to trip, I recommend the BMs and GM walk in and out together.

Almost all of my BPs have the groom's side in place or walking up the aisle first (not processing really...). Then the parents, then the bride (or other bride/groom) 's side comes up. I don't even really know why.

    They usually leave in pairs.

I think it's more a personal preference thing than a what's proper thing....

It varies by wedding for sure. My BMs will be processing in alone and with a GM on their procession out. My GM will already be in the front pew when the procession begins. This is how my cousin did it and I liked it better. It is a matter of personal choice in my opinion.

We had everyone walk down separately, then they walked back out in pairs.

The FH isn't comfortable processing down the aisle so he'll be up front and standing with his groomsmen (mostly for support) and my side will process alone. Recession will be in pairs.
