My wedding is in April of 2022, how soon should I order my bridal’s party outfits?

5/6 months out so they have time to arrive, be sent back if there are any issues and time to be altered.

My girls and I picked out dresses this weekend for my March 2022 wedding. They have a deadline of October 12th to order since the company we are using can take up to 4 months to make and send the dress. this leaves time for alterations if they need them

I waited and wish I hadn’t. Many places take up to 4 months and I started stressing when I got email updates of my online orders arriving later than expected

Do it early! There is no shame in getting things ticked off the to-do list early. I am getting married in May of 2022 and I am literally finalizing the outfits for the Wedding party this month so we can get it out of the way and so they have time to budget for it. I know it'll take at least a week or 2 to get it shipped. I'm doing it with everything. Forget the timelines you find on Pinterest of when you should start doing things. It literally tells me I should start looking in December for my dress and I already know I'm doing it in November. I'm a picky person when it comes to clothes so I already know finding the right dress and getting it altered is going to take a hot minute.

Pick the store first, because that will significantly impact your timeline. Then, I wouldn’t do it too early. As a bridesmaid it really sucks buying something forever before the event when I don’t know what size I’ll be (even more important if there is a chance your girls could get pregnant or postpartum).
We ordered from Azazie at end of June and everyone had them by early-August. However, none of my girls have taken them to a tailor yet for an Oct wedding because they want to get them fitted best per their shape at that time.

I agree that I'd ty to do it early. Lots of places take 12 weeks or longer for bridesmaids dresses, so you want to make sure you have enough time to order, see how they fit, and have them altered.

Depends on the dress, style, and store you are purchasing the dress. You also need to consider the sizes of your bridesmaids, some of them may need dresses altered, or order special sizes if the store does not have them. I would ask the store you are getting the dresses from and up the deadline for your bridal party. With COVID, shipping has been delayed and money can be tight for some. For our Sepetember 2022 wedding, I have already picked the material and color for the bridal party, and have left it up to them to start searching now. I will have both my MOH follow up with all of them every couple months to see how they are doing. Once we get into next year, I will set a deadline for them. Smiley smile
