Bridal party intros?

Ashley, on July 11, 2019 at 12:36 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
We’re going to introduce our bridal party member at the reception. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a wedding and I’m not sure if there is a standard for this, but do you generally include both first and last names or just first names in the announcement? Thanks!!

I believe this is preference. For my entrance I will be having the DJ use first and last names of our bridesmaids/groomsmen but if you think that is too formal then first names would be fine as well!

I think it's a personal preference. I'm thinking we'll do first and last names.

Totally up to you, either way is fine.

One caveat - please make sure you actually ask your bridal party if they are ok with this, especially if you're expecting them to do cheesy/cutesy dancing in or something like that. It makes me super uncomfortable as a BM (even though I do it) and it would be really nice if a bride actually ASKED if it was something we were comfy with.

Pretty much every wedding I've been to they used both. It doesn't really matter though.

I never actually noticed if they said first and last name when I went in as a bridal party member. So I don't think it matters much. All I heard was the music and was worried about the walk in/what we were gonna do that was "showy".
