Bridal Party introductions

Fiona, on June 20, 2018 at 11:36 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 14
Is anyone including parents in the introduction into the reception?

Like parents, then bridal party, then bride and groom?

I gave our parents the option, but they chose not to! It never hurts to ask!

Most weddings I've been to the parents are introduced.

I was not planning on doing this as i imagine most guests at my wedding will know my mother.

Hi Fiona! It is certainly customary to include your parents in the bridal party introductions! It's a pride filled and exciting day for them as well, so making them feel included in the reception that way is always a great idea!

I think the order you came up with is perfect! You didn't even need our help, you've got this down!!! Smiley smile

Hi Fiona!! I have seen it done both ways. I think it is entirely up to you and your partner about how you want to do it! I found another discussion where people discussed whether or not they introduced their parents, I attached it below! I hope it helps!!

Our parents will be included in introductions because they are all contributing to the wedding in some way so we wanted to include them in the intros. Most weddings we have been to have had these introductions.

    We plan to do:

    Grooms dad and step mom

    Grooms mom and step dad

    Brides mom and dad

    Flower girl and ring bearer

    Bridesmaids and groomsmen together

Maid of Honor and Best Man

    Bride and Groom

We aren’t planning on doing parents (there are four sets so it would double the intros) but we are planning on introducing the bridal party which includes our sisters.

I just attended a wedding where all of the parents were remarried so tehre were 4 sets called and honestly it wasn't awkward at all and it didn't really add much time to the process. It was nice that everyone was included and you could tell they were happy.

Most weddings do include the parents in the intros. Sure everyone knows who they are but the point is for it to be fun !

Thank you for telling me about your experience Smiley smile I think some of the parents will give us a big fat no about it but maybe we’ll ask their thoughts!

Lol oh yeah if they actively don’t want to do it then you’re off the hook from worrying about it.
