Bridal Party Gifts

Destine, on June 5, 2022 at 12:33 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Hi everyone! I am getting married September 3rd 2023. I currently putting together my bridesmaids boxes and I’d love some input on it.

Is anyone doing silk pajamas rather than robes? When my best friend got married we had the robes and you had to wear something under them and it just like annoyed me idk I want to be comfy and my girls too! What do y’all think? I’ll post reference pictures.

    Hi!
I ordered my girls silk pjs from Shein. I personally wanted my girls to be comfy…I feel sometimes the robes can be a little revealing and everyone may not feel comfortable.

Hi Destinie! For the last wedding I was in we had robes as well. I am getting these for my MOH & Britany’s best friend. These are both $13.Bridal Party Gifts 1

Robes and pjs are props for you, not gifts for them. I’m asking them to wear a button up top of their choice and leggings or joggers they already own. That way no one is uncomfortable and flashing skin in front of strangers.

As far as gifts, what would you buy for each lady if it was their birthday according to their personal interests and hobbies?

I did both the pj's and robes so that they got something underneath too. To make sure those weren't the only things they were getting, I also got them their earrings and bracelets for the wedding day (nice cubic zirconia leaf styles that are definitely wearable for other occasions or everyday), and to top it off I put all of those things in colored canvas tote bags and had their first initials embroidered on them. For reference, I just had a bridal party of 5 ladies.

I love robes, but I'm not planning to wear a bra that day (to avoid marks anyplace), and I'll be getting dressed at our church. The idea of wearing only a thin silk fabric into church is not something I'm comfortable with, so I'm planning to get my girls zip hoodies and maybe yoga pants or leggings as well. I found some cute tote bags on Etsy that I'll have personalized, which is what the hoodies and pants will be put in, and then maybe each girl's favorite type of wine with a customized label.

Ive been a bridesmaid in a handful of weddings and I have to agree that the robes are annoying. They usually go in the trash a few weeks after the wedding because I just never wear them and theyre usually poor quality anyway. I would much rather receive a cute pajama set.

The best bridesmaid gift I received was actually a handwritten note from the bride, a set of coasters with a photo of the venue, and then some really delicious cookies from a local bakery. Ive also appreciated when the bride has either paid for hair/makeup or provided the jewelry they wanted us to wear that day.

I'm personally not a fan of totes even though I know those are popular. Im honestly not attached to object or gifts at all so a lot of what I've received has been tossed if I haven't used them in a month or so post-wedding. One of my friends went, IMO, way overboard on bridesmaid bags and spent around $500 a piece and I used almost none of it.

I asked my bridesmaids how they felt about silk robes before I purchased anything, and they were all excited
