Bridal party gifts?...

Samantha, on August 12, 2019 at 5:04 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12
Hello everyone,

My name is Samantha, I am getting married in December and trying to kinda figure out what to get my bridal party. I have a bridal party of 3, my maid of honor and my two sisters. I already ordered cute tote bags for everyone and two packs of 3-personalized hair ties. I found a great shop on Etsy that lets you personalize hair ties, so I customized a pack for everyone and then ordered one for everyone that matches my wedding colors. For the final gift I am trying to decide if I want to go with pajamas OR a personalized cosmetic bag OR should I do something else? I found Pajama options I like on Romwe.com, but I am worried they could be too cheap in quality? I also found lots of personalized cosmetic bag options on Etsy or even I think Weddingwire.com.
My other thoughts were silk/satiny robes for everyone, but I am pretty sure two out of three of them already have silk/satiny robes. The second one was a nice simple pashmina scarf option. That one final gift is the last thing I plan on getting, I am trying to keep it roughly ~$30 per person.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :-)

I’d skip the robes. They’re great for photos, but a lot of BM’s don’t love them (especially if they already own silk robes. I think a scarf could be an option if your BM’s normally wear scarves but I think the cosmetic bag will get the most use.

I would skip pajamas, robes, anything that is for your wedding, or anything that says "bridesmaid." As far as the cosmetic bag or scarf, that depends, are those items that you think they would really like/use. I would try to get them something that you know they would enjoy and want to use past your wedding. Since my wedding was in the summer, and all of my bridesmaids enjoy the beach, I got them each: a monogrammed tote, water tumbler with their name on it, and a round beach towel. Those were items I knew for sure they would like/use.

I let each girl pick between 3 options for their getting ready outfit. All 3 were black & good quality, it was a long PJ shirt, a cotton waffle print robe, or a romper. They all were happy to have options instead of having to wear a robe if they didn't want one. Most my girls hadn't been bridesmaids before so it's not like they had a lot of getting ready outfits from prior weddings.

Another option that’s popular right now are the personalized cups. I personally make and sell them. Just an idea price wise, the insulated geod tumbler would probably cost you $40 with shipping per girl. Or the stemless wine glasses would cost around $15 a person with shipping. If you like the idea, there are numerous people selling them on Etsy and Instagram besides myself. I really like the idea that’s why I’m mentioning it to you, not just because I’m trying to get your business. Smiley smile but if you did want to get something through me, my Instagram is Lareeslove.

I wanted to get my wedding party something they would definitely use. I'm getting them gift baskets from Bath and Body Works!

Thank you so much everyone! I am going to go with the cosmetic bags, they will get the most use and I feel like also be the most helpful.

I love this idea, but one of my sister has way too much bath and body work stuff already; my other sister has sensitive skin, so I feel like she wouldn't use them.
