Bridal party food

on July 9, 2019 at 11:36 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 2 5
I have decided I'm providing Panera breakfast and lunch for the ladies and moms while getting ready. So hair and make up starts at 8:30a.m. and we leave around 1pm for first look pictures. I will have one hair and one make up person. I was planning on including them in for breakfast foods. How about lunch? The videographer x 2 and photographer will arrive around 11am. We are providing a meal for 2 videographers, 2 photographers, DJ, and possibly officiant. Dinner will be at 6pm. Should I give the videographers, photographer, and DJ lunch? Would you offer make up and hair ladies lunch since they will be finishing at lunch time?

Our HAMU will be there from 10-3. Our contract doesn't include lunch, so I'm not providing it. We will have extra things like fruit & veggies & pastries that they can snack on once the moms & bridesmaids have eaten, but it isn't in their contract to be fed so I wasn't planning on it (it's in the contract for other vendors like DJ & photography & videography). I'm totally fine with them bringing their own lunch, which I assume they will do.

I'm sure they would appreciate it. I'm providing my photographer with dinner even though it's not in her contract.

Exactly this. We did the Panera for breakfast, and in all honesty, our timeline was pretty similar to yours and we didn't even do any kind of lunch. We just got a fairly large breakfast spread and with how preoccupied we were with what we were doing as well as the actual timeline, we just grazed throughout the day - it was more than enough to keep us full until the dinner. That goes for the bridal party, the parents and all of the on site vendors - we invited our photographer, venue coordinator, officiant and anyone else on site for the ceremony to feel free to graze.

I think your photographers and DJ would just eat an early lunch or later breakfast, so providing lunch wouldn't be necessary. I don't think I would provide hair and makeup ladies with lunch either since they are finishing at lunch time, they will be more likely to want to leave and do their own lunch. If there are leftovers you can always offer it to those people, but I don't think it's needed. They won't be expecting it, if that's what you're wondering Smiley smile
