Bridal party brunch

Emily, on May 13, 2020 at 7:22 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 13
What is everyone planning on serving their bridal party while getting ready the day of? I was thinking mimosas but don’t want messy foods, on the same hand I want them to feel full and happy!

We did Costco muffins and fruit and juices for breakfast. And then for lunch I got sandwich platters, chips, and a veggie tray. We also had mimosas, water, and beer.

My brother-in-law picked us up donuts and muffins from Dunkin' Donuts. Our venue provided coffee and water. Then for lunch we had a pizza delivered. The guys went to Sheetz and ordered food for breakfast. As for lunch, I am not sure what they had. The one groomsman had a lemonade delivered to the suite we were getting ready in because I love lemonade. His wife who was a bridesmaid didn't even realize he was doing that until the delivery person handed it to me and I was confused and he told me Ron said I could use some.

How Early did you get them? There’s nothing around our venue and I was planning on renting an Airbnb for the night before. So just wondering if it would keep for a couple days, if refrigerated.

I've been a bridesmaid a few times and I was starving at a couple weddings because they just provided fruit, pastries, wraps, and deli meats while getting ready. I guess that would be fine if we weren't drinking champagne and taking lots of pics (super stressful). The bridesmaids were HANGRY by the time the wedding ceremony rolled around. In a recent wedding I was in, the bride ordered tacos and we ate them before we got make up touch ups and put on our dresses. It was perfect. And it made for a way more pleasant experience.

You're welcome! We got a variety of different donuts so the girls had their choice and for those that don't like or didn't want donuts we had plain bagels with butter or cream cheese. They were just happy to have something to eat. Lunch was harder to figure out because everyone that could go and get us food were busy. My mother-in-law was getting her hair down, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law were out to lunch, my grandfather and my other brother-in-law were touring a museum together. We ended up having the pizza delivered. We had originally told the venue we weren't having food delivered, but because everyone was busy we didn't have much choice.

I should also add that the bride with the tacos also had tons of snacks for us too. Keep your girls fed and give them an actual meal.

We got the muffins and fruit and veggie trays like two days before. For sandwiches we did Whole Foods sandwich platters and our wedding planner actually picked it up and brought it to us that day. But I bet if you bought bread and different meat and toppings at the grocery store a couple days before it’d be fine. Does anything anything DoorDash to the Airbnb location?

Protein would be much appreciated. What about breakfast burritos cut in half? Or turkey subs cut in half?

This is such a great thing to think about! I was thinking getting food from the Dunkin right across the street for breakfast but I hadn't thought about lunch at all (not sure why I thought about breakfast but totally ignored lunch, lol). Following for all the great lunch ideas!!
